‘Every day, the Lord visits us, speaks to us, reveals himself in unexpected ways,’ the Pope said.
‘Every day, the Lord visits us, speaks to us, reveals himself in unexpected ways,’ the Pope said.
Instituted by Pope St. John Paul II in 1997, the World Day of Consecrated Life recognizes religious and members of societies of apostolic life on the feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
The Pope encouraged consecrated religious to scrutinize their motivations and to ask themselves whether they let themselves be moved by the Holy Spirit or by 'the spirit of the world.'
The Holy Father celebrated Mass on Feb. 2, the feast of the Presentation of the Lord and the 21st World Day of Consecrated Life.
The year, proclaimed by Pope Francis, begins on the First Sunday of Advent, Nov. 30 and ends Feb. 2, 2016, the World Day of Consecrated Life.
