The testimonies from Ukraine, Russia, the Holy Land, Central Africa, the Middle East, South America and other parts of the world go with the 14 Stations of the Cross, titled ‘Voices of Peace in a World at War.’ An estimated 20,000 people attended the Way of the Cross at the Colosseum, according to the Vatican.
The meditation for “Jesus Dies on the Cross” was written by members of a Ukrainian and a Russian family. It was not read out during the Via Crucis at Rome’s Colosseum on April 15.

The Via Crucis will be held at the Colosseum in Rome.
In the past year since the coup, the 73-year-old cardinal has repeatedly urged soldiers to stop attacking the country’s citizens and appealed for peace and dialogue.
In the portrayal of the Eighth Station, the narrator says: “2021 years ago, the Savior encountered a group of women in the streets of Jerusalem weeping for Him. Today, 2021 years later, the Lord returns to meet very different women than those he consoled.”
