‘The situation with regard to religious liberty continues to be of great concern,’ the leader of the U.S. bishops’ religious-freedom committee said Nov. 11.
The bishops discussed how to tackle the pastoral challenges of the U.S. Church and ways to involve the laity in this evangelical responsibility.
Proposals focus on health care and reception of the sacraments. They also approved the first-ever English translation for the ritual book Exorcisms and Related Supplications, originally promulgated in Latin.
‘We have to let our young people know that their lives are worth living and that they were born for eternal life, not for glamour or guns or sensationalism,” Archbishop Vigano said.
