The Conservative government is planning to relax Sunday trading laws as part of its coronavirus recovery bill.
The pope also addressed all the boys and girls whose First Communions have been postponed because of the pandemic, inviting the children “to live this waiting time as an opportunity to better prepare yourself: praying, reading your catechism book to deepen knowledge of Jesus, growing in goodness, and in service to others.”
Celebration, he said Aug. 12, “is above all a loving and grateful look at work well done” and means taking time to pause and be with friends and loved ones. He added that it’s a time to watch our children grow, to look at the home we have built and think: “How beautiful!”
