In his speech, the Pope referred to the Amoris Laetitia Family Year, which marks the fifth anniversary of the publication of Amoris laetitia, his apostolic exhortation on love in the family.
In his annual speech to the members of the Roman Rota, the pope stressed that judges in the Vatican courts were “called to be open to the horizons of this difficult but not impossible pastoral care, which relates to the concern for the children as innocent victims of many situations of breakup, divorce, or new civil unions.”

But the dean of Roman Rota ignores evidence of manipulation and heavy handedness from on high, and is equivocal over whether the Pope instructed him to publicly criticise the four 'dubia' cardinals.
In an address today to the Roman Rota, the Pope highlighted ‘the human and cultural context in which matrimonial intention is formed.’
The African cardinal is known as a fearless defender of Church teachings against attempts to impose anti-Catholic values on issues like contraception, abortion and homosexuality.
An auditor with the Roman Rota stressed that the Church’s nullity process is not a means of generating revenue.
