Bishop James Wall announced the decision in a new pastoral letter, saying the sacrament of Confirmation at a younger age will strengthen Catholic youth to live out heroic witness.
The age for Confirmation will be lowered to third grade, and it will be received right before First Holy Communion at the same Mass.
