COMMENTARY: That Mary, Mother of God and now Mother of the Church, who first carried the Child in her womb, should now do so before the world he came to claim as his own.
COMMENTARY: The Rite of Baptism was first liturgically celebrated on Easter Sunday, in order to make the point that unless Christ himself had first overcome death, there could be no baptism for anyone.
COMMENTARY: May this Holy Week be one whose reenactment, even in these days of shuttered churches, be a time of renewed gratitude for the gift of Christ.
