The Pope’s prayer video included images of a pregnant woman, a sonogram of an unborn child, an infant soon after birth, and an elderly woman in the hospital.
Overall, an estimated 340 million Christians worldwide face persecution, according to Open Doors’ 2021 report, an increase of 30 million from the previous year.
Pope Francis has invited people to pray for women who suffer from psychological violence, verbal violence, physical violence, and sexual violence.
