On Aug. 26, Polish bishops’ conference spokesman Jesuit Father Leszek Gęsiak celebrated Mass for the meeting’s participants in the Sanctuary of St. John Paul II in Kraków, southern Poland.
Fr. Paweł Rytel-Andrianik, spokesman of the Polish Bishops’ Conference, said that the act of consecration should not be regarded simply as a historical event.
The bishops released a Nov. 19 statement calling for action, prayer and penance during their plenary assembly.
