The ordination ceremony took place on the Fourth Sunday of Easter, also known as Good Shepherd Sunday, and the 58th World Day of Prayer for Vocations.
Deacon Marín said one of the most important moments in the discovery of his vocation was the death of his father, something that he described as “a blow that made me consider my vocation more thoughtfully and prompted me to say ‘yes’ to the Lord and enter the seminary.”
The brothers were both ordained to the priesthood May 30 at Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Mobile— in a private Mass, because of the pandemic.
