“We (can) do acts of mercy, opening our hearts to reach everyone with the works of mercy, which are the merciful inheritance that God the Father has had with us,” the Holy Father said Jan. 27.
The Holy Father reminded the faithful Feb. 18, the start of Lent, ‘The Lord does not ever tire of having mercy on us … inviting us to return to him with a new heart.’
At his Feb. 15 Angelus address, the Holy Father told the faithful: “Be ‘imitators of Christ’ in front of a poor or sick person ... drawing close with tenderness and compassion. Let us be infected by good, and let us infect others with it.”
