President Trump’s action will help to ensure medical providers don’t withhold lifesaving medical care, according to two mothers whose unborn babies died untreated.
The petition garnered 193 signatures immediately and subsequently received eight more, but since June 4 there have been no additions.
Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., introduced the Born-Alive Survivors Protection Act and looked to pass the bill Feb. 4 via unanimous consent.
