Milwaukee Archdiocese Challenges the State’s Investigation into Clergy Sex Abuse Citing ‘Anti-Catholic Bigotry’
The archdiocese believes the investigation of the Office of the Attorney General is unlawful, stating that some of the archdiocesan records are under seal. Archbishop Jerome Listecki said the archdiocese would cooperate with any ‘proper’ state investigation, adding that there are ‘legitimate concerns that [the] inquiry is directly targeting only the Catholic Church.’
