The FDA has recorded 24 deaths of women associated with the drugs, as well as more than 4,000 cases with adverse effects since 2000.
Women seeking medical abortions will be allowed to take both abortion pills— mifepristone and misoprostol— at home up to the tenth week of pregnancy, according to a government spokeperson.
