Vocation Awareness

Jan. 11 begins Vocation Awareness Week, and at many parishes and schools across the country, priests and religious will be reminding young people that God might be calling them.

Stories from seminarians, consecrated persons and priests show that, for most, a personal invitation was decisive in discovering and following their call.

Often, an invitation is all a young person has been waiting for. VocationActionNetwork.com is a site set up in affiliation with my congregation, the Legionaries of Christ, to help people learn how to promote vocations to the diocesan and religious priesthood.

If you know someone curious about a vocation, tell them about Vocation.com. It provides the most comprehensive discernment resources on the Web and will walk them through the journey.
